Board seeks bids for renovation project

Sealed bids will be received by Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services located at 1100 Wayne Street, Suite 4000, Troy, OH, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 for the renovation of six apartment units located at 818-828 Willow Glen, Tipp City, OH and six apartment units located at 1061-1069 Mayfield Drive in Troy, OH.  Said bids will be opened at that time by the Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services at their office.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on January 6, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. for the above project at 818 Willow Glen in Tipp City, OH. Specifications are available at Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services located at 1100 Wayne Street, Suite 4000, Troy, OH; or by filing an electronic request to kbeasley@beasleyarchitecture.com.

A Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check of bid bond in the amount of the bid  MUST BE ENCLOSED WITH THE BID. The Bid Bond will be held as the Performance Bond for the successful bidder and will be returned to the successful bidder at the completion of the project. All other Bid Bonds will be returned to subject bidders after successful bidder is selected and approved.

All potential bidders are hereby advised that the Non-discrimination and Equal Opportunity Provisions of these bid specifications shall be incorporated into the contract. Wage rates paid shall be not less than Federal Government Davis Bacon Wage Rates. The construction estimate is $400,000.

Projects must commence no later than April 1, 2016.

Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid and to waive any irregularities of bids.

SafeHaven Christmas Celebrations Schedule

The following information is provided by SafeHaven Inc regarding upcoming Christmas Celebrations schedule:

Dec. 16
Wednesday, December 16 is our large, annual three-county SafeHaven Christmas celebration!  Any adult in need of mental health support from Darke, Miami, or Shelby Counties is welcome to join us for a free meal, gifts for everyone, fun and games, and to share in the festive spirit of the season.  This event is free for any adult in need of mental health support, and transportation is provided from each county to our Miami County location in Piqua at 633 N. Wayne St.  This SafeHaven location will be open from 10-5 for this event.
 
Dec. 18
Darke County SafeHaven will host its own additional Christmas celebration on Friday, December 18th for adults in need of mental health support in Darke County at our 322 Fair St. location in Greenville.  Normal hours apply.
 
Dec. 22
Shelby County SafeHaven will host its own additional Christmas celebration on Tuesday, December 22 for adults in need of mental health support in Shelby County at our 1101 N. Vandemark location in Sidney.  Normal hours apply.
 
Dec. 23
Miami County SafeHaven will also host an additional Christmas celebration on Wednesday, December 23rd for adults in need of mental health support in Miami County at our 633 N. Wayne St. location in Piqua.  Normal hours apply.
 
Dec. 24
Staff will specially open the Miami County SafeHaven site on the Christmas Eve holiday on December 24th from 12pm-3pm.  Members from all three SafeHaven sites are welcome, specifically for those who may not have family and their own events on the holidays.

While the new SafeHaven website is under construction, a new calendar for all three counties featuring daily class and support group schedules, schedule changes, special events, field trips, and more can be found and shared at:
