Trauma 101: Understanding Trauma, Resilience and Trauma-Informed Approaches
A basic understanding of the impact of psychological trauma helps in a broad array of interventions and treatment. This training provides a foundational overview and awareness of trauma, resilience, and trauma-informed care for anyone in the community who interacts with individuals and families who may have experienced trauma, including case managers, human services professionals, educators/school administrators, the faith community, employers, government agencies, and others.

Presenter: Jennifer Cox, MA, Director of Training Montgomery County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services. Jennifer is a TIC Instructor and a National Instructor in Mental Health First Aid-USA. She received her dual undergraduate degrees (Art Therapy/Dance Kinesiology Education) from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Arts in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from Columbia College Chicago. She has professional experience as a clinician, educator and administrator in a variety of clinical, public, and government settings with a vast array of populations.
