Current or prospective active members of the Tri-County (Miami, Darke, Shelby) Crisis Response Team may qualify for a scholarship to cover the $300 cost of the training. Please download, complete and return the form linked below by April 17. Registrations are provisional pending receipt and acceptance of the Scholarship Agreement.
Scholarship Agreement
A Crisis Response Team provides services upon request to local businesses, schools, first responders, or other community groups where a crisis event has taken place. Examples of such trauma-inducing events would be:
  • Criminal incidents of a nature that affect a specific or entire community like homicide, robbery, missing children.
  • Incidents such as serious automobile accidents, suicides, multiple deaths from any means.
  • Incidents involving natural or man-made disasters such as floods, storms, plane crashes, industrial accidents or fires.

NOVA Crisis Response Team training has thirty years (since 1986) of evidence-informed and field-tested best practices as a crisis management utility that includes trauma mitigation and education protocols. With over 10,000 crisis responders trained in North America and internationally, NOVA CRT training is an effective tool that can be instantly scaled-up for mass-casualty critical incidents.

Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services and the Tri-County Crisis Response Team are partnering to make this internationally-recognized training available in West Central Ohio.

The NOVA Basic CRT training comprises three 8-hour days (24 hours), Tuesday April 25 through Thursday April 27. Attendance all three days is required. Cost of the training is $300, which includes training manual and other materials. Lunch will be on your own. Refrigerator and microwave are available.

Pending approval for 20.5 CE hours by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

Seating is limited. Register by Monday April 17.
