513 Power Failure

Original Approval Date: April 15, 2009
Revision Effective:
Supersedes:

Remain in your offices, and await the restoration of services. In most instances disruptions of electrical service are of short duration and power is restored quickly. In the event utility service is interrupted for a prolonged period of time, employees may contact the utility service company to determine when services will be restored so appropriate action can be taken.
All computers are connected to an UPS power backup. If power is disrupted the UPS will provide a window of about 5 to 10 minutes of power backup before it begins to power down your computer workstation.  You may manually save and power down your computer prior to the UPS’s actions.
