The Tri-County Board can be a better place to work when all employees show respect and courtesy to each other. Sometimes there are problems when employees do not realize that they are bothering or annoying other people. If this happens to you, you should first try to solve the problem by politely telling your co-worker what is bothering you.
In most cases, if you use common sense, the problem can be fixed. We encourage you to keep an open mind. If another employee tells you about something that you are doing that makes it hard for that person to work, try to understand the other person's point of view.
The following are some guidelines and suggestions for how to be considerate of others at work. You will not necessarily be disciplined if you do not follow these suggestions, but the guidelines will help you get along with others. If you have comments or suggestions about workplace etiquette, contact the Director of Finance and Administration.
