509 Inclement Weather

Tri-County Board staff should remain vigilant to changing and dangerous weather conditions. In the event of a severe storm watch and tornado watch, staff should monitor weather conditions for any changes.  In the event of a tornado warning or severe storm warning, staff and visitors should move to the central part of the building away from windows or to an area designated as a weather.
 
In the event of a severe weather event where travel to the office may be hazardous, staff should use caution when traveling to and from work as well as other scheduled events.  Board office closures will be determined by the Executive Director and relayed by phone to all employees. Employees who choose not to go to work due to weather while the office remains open will notify their supervisor that they will not be at work. They will be required to use vacation hours for the missed work time.
