202 Civil Rights

It is the policy of the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services to treat all individuals equally without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, or religion.  The same requirements are applied to all providers, consultants and sub-grantees funded by the Board in assigning clients without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, or religion.  There is no distinction in eligibility for or in the manner of providing client services.  All services are available without distinction to all clients and visitors regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, or religion.  All persons and organizations having occasion either to refer clients for services or to recommend the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services are advised to do so without regard to the potential client's race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, or religion.
 
The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services shall require its contract agencies to adopt similar policies.
 
1.         The person designated to coordinate compliance with this policy and with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Nondiscrimination Against the Disabled) is the Civil Rights Coordinator, Chief Financial Officer, who can be reached at Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services (937)335-7727.
 
2.         Any person who feels she/he has been discriminated against because of his/her race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, or religion, has the right to file a complaint with the Civil Rights Coordinator, the Chief Financial Officer.

4.         This policy and procedure statement shall be given to all Tri-County Board providers, consultants, and subgrantees.
 
5.         This policy and procedure statement shall be given to all Tri-County Board employees.
 
6.         The Tri-County Board will note on its letterhead, brochures, and annual reports its status as an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
 
7.         The Tri-County Board will include its EOE status in all postings, internally and externally, when recruiting for personnel.
