The Board is committed to assuring that confidential client information is safeguarded and that this information is not accessed or used inappropriately.
Board employees shall keep client information and data confidential per existing state and federal guidelines. In addition, only necessary staff shall have access to available client data.
Board employees shall access and utilize client information ONLY for Board related purposes.
Staff shall assure that client information is secured appropriately and not left out where passers-by in the office can see confidential information. Individual offices are locked every evening. In addition, staff access into all systems shall be password protected and staff will not leave the systems open when they are away from their desks.
Violation of any aspect of client confidentiality is cause for immediate disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
The Executive Director shall assure that appropriate staff shall have access to confidential information and that the terms of this policy are enforced.
