111 Cell Phone and Pager Usage

Cell phones or pagers shall be considered Board cell phones or pagers if the Board has purchased the items and/or pays the regular monthly charge for use of the items directly to the vendor.
The employee using these items shall take reasonable precautions to safeguard the equipment from damages. Damage, loss or theft of these items shall be reported to management as soon as reasonably possible.
These items’ use shall be intended for Board business. The Board recognizes, however, that in limited circumstances, a call might be made or received on a Board cell phone of a personal nature. If any such call(s) cause the Board to incur additional cost, the Board shall notify the employee of the additional cost incurred within ten (10) days of receipt of the invoice from the vendor. The employee will reimburse for the total additional cost incurred within ten (10) days of notification from the Board.
Personal use of Board cell phones or pagers other than defined in this policy or failure to reimburse the Board for costs incurred may result in disciplinary action.
