512 Safety Officer

The policy of the Tri-County Board is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions for all of its staff and visitors.   The Executive Director shall appoint a Safety Officer who will carry out the duties described in this policy as well as any other safety duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

The Safety Officer will:
  1. Maintain documentation on all fire drills, critical incident reports and quarterly safety inspections.
  2. Conduct fire drills at least annually.
  3. Inspect fire extinguishers quarterly.
  4. Inspect exit signs and lighting quarterly.
  5. Inspect first aid kits and contents and resupply as needed on a quarterly basis.
  6. Receive and review critical incident reports.
  7. Inform and advise the Executive Director on any potential safety hazard or concern regarding the Board offices.
