CIT Refresher Course
In 2025, upon recommendation of the Tri-County CIT Advisory Committee, Tri-County CIT began offering a 1-day Refresher Course for CIT officers who had completed the Tri-County CIT Academy more than three years ago, or for any CIT officer working in Miami, Darke or Shelby County who completed a CIT Academy in another Board area.
The Refresher Course focuses on recent changes to the behavioral health system, key procedural components, and newly-emphasized curriculum content that may not have been included in earlier Academies. The Refresher Course is not a substitute for the 4-day Academy, or for any of the Companion Courses.
