The Executive Director is the sole employee of the Board of Directors of SafeHaven, INC.<br /><br /><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Leadership and Strategic Planning:</li><li>Develop and implement the organization&rsquo;s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors.</li><li>Provide visionary leadership to staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture.</li><li>Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and in the media.</li></ul><br /><strong>Operational Management:</strong><ul><li>Oversee daily operations, ensuring programs and services are delivered effectively and efficiently.</li><li>Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to support operational excellence.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.</li></ul><br /><strong>Financial Management:</strong><ul><li>Prepare and manage the annual budget in partnership with the Board and finance staff.</li><li>Monitor financial performance, ensure fiscal responsibility, and report regularly to the Board.</li><li>Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and special events.</li></ul><br /><strong>Board Relations:</strong><ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and staff.</li><li>Support Board recruitment, development, and governance activities.</li><li>Provide timely and accurate information to support Board decision-making.</li></ul><br /><strong>Community Engagement and Partnerships:</strong><ul><li>Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, partners, funders, and government agencies.</li><li>Promote the organization&rsquo;s mission and programs to enhance its visibility and impact.</li></ul><br /><strong>Staff Management and Development:</strong><ul><li>Hire, train, supervise, discipline and/or dismiss as necessary and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.</li><li>Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.</li></ul><br /><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; Master&rsquo;s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 5&ndash;7 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans.</li><li>Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, fundraising, and resource development.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.</li><li>Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Experience working with a Board of Directors.</li><li>Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.</li></ul><br /><strong>Work Environment</strong><ul><li>The Executive Director works in an office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work required. Some travel may be necessary for conferences, meetings, and community events.</li></ul><br /><strong>Compensation</strong><ul><li>Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Other duties may be assigned.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will provide direct maintenance services to properties owned and operated within the service district per the Tri-County Board service contract with oversight by the Maintenance Lead.&nbsp; Services may include but are not limited to electrical work, plumbing, painting, roofing, carpentry, laying carpet, dry walling, preventative work (i.e. changing furnace filters), glass work, mowing, landscaping and snow removal.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will research, assist in selection and oversee any work completed by a contract worker or firm on any properties owned and operated within the service district.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will maintain accurate historical records of the type of repairs, cost and materials completed for each property.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will assist Maintenance Lead in the keeping a current log of repairs and upgrades needed in order to maintain Board facilities in good condition.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will respond to after hours maintenance issues at owned and operated properties as scheduled.<br />&nbsp;<br />Will work closely with community behavioral health staff to promote high quality and effective services by strategizing and promoting communication and cooperation.<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibility</u></strong><br />This position may oversee contract maintenance services.<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><br /><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.&nbsp;
