The policy of the Tri-County Board is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions for all of its staff and visitors. The Executive Director shall appoint a Safety Officer who will carry out the duties described in this policy as well as any other safety duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

The policy of the Tri-County Board is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions for all of its staff and visitors. The Executive Director shall appoint a Safety Officer who will carry out the duties described in this policy as well as any other safety duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
The Safety Officer will:
- Maintain documentation on all fire drills, critical incident reports and quarterly safety inspections.
- Conduct fire drills at least annually.
- Inspect fire extinguishers quarterly.
- Inspect exit signs and lighting quarterly.
- Inspect first aid kits and contents and resupply as needed on a quarterly basis.
- Receive and review critical incident reports.
- Inform and advise the Executive Director on any potential safety hazard or concern regarding the Board offices.
